Florida-based vehicle power management specialist Intellitec is set to launch the latest version of its million-selling automotive battery protection system at the Work Truck Show being held at America’s Center in St Louis, March 9 – 12.
The Battery Guard 3000+ system will be unveiled to the North American market at the show, following an enormously successful launch in Europe and the Middle East.
Developed to eventually supersede the highly acclaimed Battery Guard 2000, the new Battery Guard 3000 is fully programmable, guarantees starting power, can be used as a split charging system, has data logging capabilities and is designed to work in tandem with any CANBUS system.
“In recent years, vehicle manufacturers have introduced ever more complex electrical systems which are susceptible to damage from sudden loss of battery power. In response, we have developed a new programmable Battery Guard which works in tandem with any CANBUS system to warn of imminent electrical shutdown, preventing damage to expensive vehicle ECUs,” said Paul Smith, Intellitec technical director. “We have engineered the system to log data to allow fleet managers to record how many low voltage disconnections have occurred on each of their vehicles.”
Duncan Hughes, Intellitec sales and marketing director, said: “We are delighted to be launching our leading power management system at North America’s largest work truck event. We look forward to offering a flexible program of power management solutions to help improve efficiency and deliver exceptional cost savings to fleet operators throughout North America.”
