PROTOTYPE PRODUCTION AND HIRING UNDERWAY AT GIBBS

Manufacture of prototype high-speed amphibians for both consumer and first-responder use is underway at Gibbs Technologies in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

The company currently is building advanced prototypes of the Gibbs Quadski for product testing this summer to be followed by production next year. The world’s first high-speed, power-sports amphiquad, the Gibbs Quadski is capable of achieving speeds of up to 45 miles per hour on both land and water.

Gibbs Technologies is looking to fill a number of job openings as well, according to Gibbs Chairman Neil Jenkins.

Jenkins said the company expects to hire up to 100 new salaried and hourly employees within the next 12 months to fill openings in manufacturing engineering, sales and marketing, dealer development and manufacturing.

“We are interviewing candidates for several senior management positions in manufacturing and sales and marketing as well,” he reported.
