Toyota Logistics Services has recognized Horizon Lines with two Logistics Excellence Awards in the Export Marine category for 2005. The On-Time Performance award was presented to Horizon Lines for the seventh consecutive year and this year’s Customer Service honors went to Horizon for overall team success in moving Toyota’s vehicles between the continental U.S. and Hawaii.
“We are especially proud of the teamwork involved in securing Toyota’s Customer Service and On-Time Performance awards,” said Brian Taylor, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Horizon Lines. He continued, “At Horizon Lines, we place high value on commitment to customers. Our team continues to move vehicles on time — a critical logistics requirement for Toyota.”
The awards were presented by Kazuo Ohara, Senior Vice President and Chief Coordinating Officer of Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A., Inc., Alan Decarr, Group Vice President & General Manager, Toyota Logistics Services & International Operations and Don Esmond, Toyota Motor Sales Senior Vice President of Automotive Operations.
