The automotive industry is undergoing a profound transformation. Electrification, digitalization, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and new mobility concepts are reshaping the market at an unprecedented pace. We have responded by introducing new formats that combine knowledge sharing, networking, and live experiences more closely than ever before.

With the CEO Breakfast, the new Innovation4Mobility and HighTech4Mobility formats, an expanded Automechanika Academy program, and experience-driven attractions such as the Automechanika Pitlane and the Experience Park, we are creating an event that informs, inspires, and connects people.

I’m particularly excited about the wide range of solutions our exhibitors will present – from remanufacturing and circular economy concepts to energy-efficient workshop technologies, alternative powertrains, battery services, and AI-driven solutions that improve efficiency and reduce resource consumption.

The show will also kick off with our CEO Breakfast featuring Dr. Bertrand Piccard, whose keynote will highlight how sustainability and innovation go hand in hand. For workshops, AI can improve diagnostics, support predictive maintenance, and simplify increasingly complex repair processes.

In distribution and logistics, it helps optimize inventory management and supply chains, while customer service benefits from more personalized and faster support. Automotive Industries: Connected vehicles generate enormous amounts of data. How important is secure access to vehicle data for the independent aftermarket, and how will this topic be addressed during the exhibition?

Mußhoff: Secure and fair access to vehicle data is one of the key issues for the future of the independent aftermarket. Without access to relevant vehicle data, independent workshops and service providers cannot compete on equal terms or offer the full range of services customers expect.

At Automechanika Frankfurt 2026, this topic will be addressed from different perspectives. At the same time, digitalization and AI are helping manufacturers and suppliers improve forecasting, inventory management, and logistics.

We also see a strong focus on sustainability, with growing investments in remanufacturing, circular economy solutions, and more resource-efficient production. Another important trend is closer collaboration across the value chain, as companies recognize that future challenges can only be addressed through strong partnerships.
