MetoKote Receives Quality Performance Certificate from Toyota

MetoKote Corporation, the largest global protectivecoatings supplier, is pleased to announce that for the second consecutive yearToyota has awarded MetoKote’s San Antonio facility its Quality PerformanceAchievement Certificate.

Toyota selects recipients of this award based upon asupplier showing exceptional performance levels associated with parts permillion (PPM) that surpass Toyota’s already stringent target levels. MetoKoteSan Antonio achieved a zero ppm level of performance on tier one Toyotabusiness for the entire 2013 year. This follows their tier one zero ppmperformance levels in 2012. Michael Cooper, MetoKote’s Director of AsianPacific OEM Accounts, had this to say about the news, “We are obviouslythrilled to be recognized by Toyota for our efforts and commitments to them asa customer and partner. Operational excellence is the prerequisite tocontinuing to strengthen and grow our relationship with Toyota, and our SanAntonio team has once again achieved these ends.”

MetoKote’s San Antonio facility opened in the ToyotaMotor Manufacturing Park (TMMTX) in 2006. This facility houses an electrocoat (e-coat) indexing monorail systemthat coats over 150 different Toyota Tundra & Tacoma components for Toyotadirect and for other Tier 1 suppliers located in the park.  One of 30 global MetoKote facilities,MetoKote San Antonio has been recognized internally for utilizing the highestlevels of Kaizen principles corporate wide.
