TASS International has extended its PreScan software with SAE J2735 compliant DSRC antenna models to support the growing market for connected vehicle (V2X) systems. The new PreScan DSRC models enable virtual design and verification of connected vehicle systems.
The PreScan simulation software can be used for design and evaluation of active safety systems, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and intelligent transportation systems (ITS). Within the automotive industry, PreScan is widely used for developing intelligent systems based on sensor technologies such as radar, camera, laser and ultrasound. PreScan supports many different phases of the development v-cycle, such as concept design, algorithm development, robustness testing and ECU verification (HIL simulation).
To satisfy the needs of the rapidly growing body of V2X system developers, PreScan’s latest release (R6.3.0) now contains DSRC antenna models. The models are compliant with the SAE J2735 protocol which is the standard for V2X communication in the USA. Using the protocol’s Basic Safety Message (BSM), PreScan’s DSRC models enable virtual design and verification of connected vehicle systems, for example the applications that are currently being evaluated within the Safety Pilot Model Deployment field trial in Ann Arbor MI.
TASS International supports the transport industry to develop safer, greener and more intelligent vehicles by providing innovative software products, state-of-the-art testing facilities and cost-effective engineering solutions. TASS International is headquarters in The Netherlands, employs over 200 people and has a global offices network in 13 countries.
