The American Automotive Policy Council (AAPC) – representing its member companies Chrysler Group LLC, Ford Motor Company and General Motors Company – supports the passage of legislation granting Russia permanent normal trade relations (PNTR).
“Russia, the ninth-largest economy, is a rapidly-expanding auto market,” Matt Blunt, AAPC President said. “By granting Russia PNTR, we will be allowing U.S. automakers to enjoy the benefits of Russia’s accession to the WTO and to expand on the already major contributions they make to U.S. economic growth and job creation.”
