The acquisition marks Pioneer’s seventh location and represents a firm foundational block in the companyʼs growth plan. Nimet has an impressive track record and is recognized for its unique Nituff® and NiCoTef® processes. Nimet’s commitment to exceptional quality and superior customer service matches Pioneerʼs cultural mantras.
The new acquisition will be known initially as a division of Pioneer and will continue to offer proprietary products such as Nituff®, NiCoTef® and Anografics® as well as Type II and III anodizing, electroless nickel, conversion coatings and precision masking. Nimetʼs processes will be available across Pioneerʼs other facilities to all Pioneer customers.
Expanding further, Pioneer’s expertise in specialized solutions for unique applications is more readily available to the growing number of customers in the greater Mid-West region through Nimet’s strategic location. With an intensified reach into the greater South Bend, Chicago, Fort Wayne and Indianapolis areas, Pioneer’s exceptional services are increasingly convenient.
“We’re thrilled about the acquisition of Nimet, it fits our growth strategy and customer- focused outlook. The new Nimet Division further solidifies Pioneer as North America’s leading metal finisher and we’re confident that Nimetʼs customers will enjoy the benefits of our expanded services, enhanced transportation and sustained dedication to quality,” announced Pioneer’s CEO Bob Pyle. Nimetʼs former owner James Abbott added, “Pioneer’s acquisition of Nimet makes perfect sense. We share the same cultural values and it’s a great marriage of technologies. And Nimetʼs customers will benefit from Pioneer’s infrastructure and attention to customer care.”
