First American Plastic Molding Enterprise, a leading plastic injection molding company, has added two 850-ton Cincinnati presses to its line up, one at its 39,000 sq. ft. facility in South Beloit, Illinois, and the second press at its 22,000 sq. ft. facility in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.
Currently, First American houses a total of 24 horizontal presses ranging in size from 40 to 850 tons. They also have a 150-ton multi-station rotary dial vertical clamp press that was recently brought on line.
“The presses allow us to take on new, bigger projects and serve our biggest customers,” said Steve Erickson, a Vice President at First American Plastic Molding Enterprise. “The added equipment will also free up machine time on our 725-ton Cincinnati.”
FAP offers value-added products and services throughout every step of the manufacturing process: assembly, testing, decorating, packaging, drop shipping, design, and design assistance.
“We’re constantly working to develop new ways to save our clients’ time and money,” Erickson said. “These new machines will enable us to scale up our production, without sacrificing any of the quality we demand of our work.”
Cost reduction is accomplished in two ways. The first involves redesigning the part, which can lead to an overall reduction in part weight by as much as 25 percent. The second savings opportunity comes with logistics. First American Plastic’s multiple locations afford them the manufacturing capability to produce parts in either location, to supply the entire United States at reduced freight costs.
First American Plastic Molding Enterprises has provided services and solutions to hundreds of industries; they provide industry-leading support in food-related components, packaging and display components, automotive components (including recreational vehicles), as well as medical-related and industrial tool components.
