Bsquare Corporation, the leading software solutions provider to the global embedded device community and designated training partner for Microsoft Auto, today announced its new training course for the Microsoft Auto Platform.
“Building Solutions with Microsoft Auto Platform,” a five-day course for auto manufacturers, OEMs and infotainment suppliers, focuses on the fundamentals of developing on Microsoft Auto Platform, which is based on the Windows Embedded CE 6.0 operating system.
As a leading systems integrator currently working with Microsoft’s Automotive Business Unit on the Microsoft Auto Platform Development Kit (PDK), Bsquare has developed multiple levels of training courses for automakers, automotive suppliers and a growing ecosystem of partners developing the future of in-car technology.
“We are pleased to deliver our first course on the Microsoft Auto Platform to provide automotive customers globally with the skills and resources they need to develop the next-generation of high quality infotainment and in-vehicle technology solutions,” says Carey Butler, Bsquare’s Vice President of Engineering Services.
Currently working with a large U.S. automotive manufacturer, Bsquare is involved with the automotive industry at all levels including tier one automotive OEMs and after-market infotainment OEMs. It has well-established relationships with a wide range of technology vendors and solution-delivery companies including semiconductors, contract manufacturers, navigation, voice, data communications, media, graphic rendering and other providers.
Bsquare’s automotive consulting practice encompasses deep technical knowledge of the Microsoft Automotive product platform as an extension of its Windows Embedded expertise. In conjunction with Bsquare’s training, engineering services and support, this additional technical capability allows OEMs and tier one automotive companies to select, adopt, develop and ship products and solutions that run Microsoft’s automotive products. Bsquare has developed solutions for Microsoft Auto 3.0 and Windows Automotive 5.0, including a five-day training course for developers getting started with Microsoft Auto 3.0.
Bsquare’s engineering team, with approximately 200 engineers in global offices, offers extensive experience developing complete in-vehicle infotainment systems for tier one automotive manufacturers including development of board support packages, high-end graphics and user interfaces, and Bluetooth drivers. Along with HMI, middleware, and system-level software development, Bsquare offers customized hardware, mechanical design, quality assurance, and manufacturing engineering teams.
