In April it was announced that Jardine Motors Group had been selected as the
London and southern UK retailer for the exclusive Automobili Pininfarina
Battista pure-electric hyper GT, with the luxury retailer operating under
the name Automobili Pininfarina London.
Following the launch of Automobili Pininfarina London, prospective customers
were given the opportunity to attend an exclusive retail and brand
experience at the iconic Goodwood Motor Circuit in West Sussex on the 28th
and 29th of April. Guests were given the opportunity to experience a
passenger test drive of the exclusive Automobili Pininfarina Battista
pure-electric hyper GT.
Members of the Automobili Pininfarina technical team were on-site to speak
with customers, who received a complete brand introduction to Battista and
the company behind its creation. The customers who opted for the passenger
driving experience were driven around the Goodwood Motor Circuit by
Automobili Pininfarina’ Test Driver Georgios Syropoulos, who also talked
them through the technical and dynamic performance specification of the car.
Neil Williamson, CEO for Jardine Motors Group and Pininfarina London, said:
“This immersive retail and brand experience was a perfect introduction to
some of Jardine Motors Group’s most valued customers to the Automobili
Pininfarina brand. The Pininfarina name is legendary in the world of
motoring and we are excited to bring the Battista pure-electric hyper GT to
our enthusiastic clients under the Automobili Pininfarina London name.”
Winner of the Electrifying.com “Electric Dream” award, the Battista delivers
a level of performance that is unachievable today in any road-legal sports
car featuring internal combustion engine technology. Faster than a current
Formula 1 race car in its 0-100 km/h sub-two second sprint, and with 1,900
hp and 2,300 Nm torque, the Battista combines exceptional engineering and
technology in a zero emissions package. The Battista’s 120 kWh battery
provides power to four electric motors – one at each wheel – with a
simulated WLTP range of over 500 km (310 miles) on a single charge.
Paolo Dellacha, Chief Product and Engineering Officer at Automobili
Pininfarina, said: “It was a real pleasure to see the delight on the faces
of Automobili Pininfarina London clients after their first dynamic
experience in Battista. This hyper GT combines pure electric power,
beautiful design and Italian luxury like nothing before it. I look forward
to seeing Battista on the roads of London and elsewhere in the UK, with
deliveries to clients worldwide starting later this year.”
As part of a bespoke client experience, every new Battista owner will be
invited to meet the Automobili Pininfarina team responsible for designing,
engineering and developing the most powerful car ever produced in Italy.
Owners will explore the near-infinite opportunities to create a bespoke
Battista, with the team led by Automobili Pininfarina Chief Design Officer
Luca Borgogno on hand to showcase an enchanting range of colours, materials
and finishes inspired by the natural beauty of Italy’s Piemonte region. The
opening ceremony for this enhanced facility is planned for summer 2021.
With thousands of ways to create a truly bespoke and personalised car, no
more than 150 will be created and, like many iconic Pininfarina designs of
the past, each will be individually hand-crafted at the Pininfarina SpA
atelier in Cambiano, Italy. Potential clients in London and southern England
are invited to register their interest and explore Battista ownership at
