ALCANTARA ON CENTER STAGE AT AUTO SHANGHAI 2021

Auto Shanghai 2021 recently took place at the National Exhibition and
Convention Center (Shanghai), where many well-known domestic and
international automotive brands showcased their new and classic models.
Alcantara®, a brand offering luxury materials made in Italy with a perfect
combination of aesthetics, sensuality, and technical function, has become
the premier choice for interiors of popular models from brands such as
Hongqi, GWM, Lynk & Co, and BMW. Having maintained a zero net CO2 emissions
balance since inception, Alcantara also delivers on the sustainability goals
of many automakers.

SAIC Motor’s R brand brought a number of blockbuster models to Auto Shanghai
2021. These included the special-edition green finish of the ER6, the
brand’s first smart pure-electric sedan, which attracted much attention. Its
simple and relaxing interior design, complemented by Alcantara’s green
material, complements the vibrant and energetic vibe of the ER6 while
conveying the epitome of luxury and comfort.

The automaker’s MG6 X POWER model made a repeat appearance, showcasing a
visually striking exterior complemented by a sporty interior. The steering
wheel, center console, seats, and door panels all feature Alcantara material
incorporated with green stitching. With the X POWER logo embroidered on the
seats and in other places, the MG6 X POWER is highly recognizable.

Making its debut for SAIC’s IM brand at Auto Shanghai 2021 was the IM L7,
which also attracted much attention with its ¬simple, delicate, and highly
technical design concepts from the interior to the exterior. Light-colored
Alcantara material lines the interior, highlighting the smart technological
design of the Zhiji L7 cabin.

WEY, the next-generation smart motor series from Great Wall Motor, launched
pre-sales for its all-new flagship SUV, the Mocha, which represents the
first model under GWM’s “Coffee Intelligence” platform. As WEY’s newest
flagship smart motor, Mocha features a highly texturized interior, with dark
Alcantara material covering the seats and door panels to emphasize the
model’s premium quality.

Lynk & Co Auto’s first performance sportscar, the Lynk & Co 03+, was once
again on display at Auto Shanghai 2021 following its launch in 2019. The
interiors of the Lynk & Co 03+ are wrapped in Alcantara material, from the
steering wheel to seats, instrument panel, door panels, and more. The
details of the Lynk & Co 03+ are made of perforated grey Alcantara material,
adding an elegant touch while ensuring good air permeability. Bright yellow
contrast stitching further highlights the vitality of the model’s sporty
aesthetic.

Hongqi also debuted a number of models at Auto Shanghai 2021. Among them,
the new Hongqi H9+ Magnolia-themed Customized Version, featuring a unique
exterior and stunning interiors. The interiors of the luxuriously upgraded
new Hongqi H9+ White Magnolia-theme Custom Version are wrapped in blue and
white Alcantara material, offering obvious refinements in luxury and
comfort. White embroidered magnolias decorate the door panels and roof,
adding an elegant charm to the Hongqi H9+. Its visually stunning starry sky
canopy, which incorporates Alcantara’s unique design enhanced by LED lights,
takes luxury and elegance to the next level. Alcantara material is also
featured in the interiors of the HS5, HS5 Red Power Theme Edition, HS7, H9,
E-HS9, and S9 models, ensuring comfort and durability with a touch of
premium luxury.

THE BMW 7, flagship of the BMW family, also attracted much attention. At
Auto Shanghai 2021, BMW officially unveiled a special edition of THE BMW 7
Series. This model showcases a new design philosophy, not only in the lines,
texture, and shine of its exterior, but also with a new interior design
featuring Alcantara material on the roof, door pillars, and sun visors,
enhancing the multidimensional sensory experience.

Alcantara and BMW have a long history of collaboration. In addition to the
BMW 7 Series, other models presented by BMW, such as the new BMW M3 and the
new BMW M4 coupe, also feature Alcantara interiors.

A new generation of Peugeot’s pure electric model, the e2008, was also
presented at Auto Shanghai 2021. The two colors of the body are echoed
throughout the interior design with its gray and black seats, enhanced by
the textured elegance of light-colored Alcantara material highlighted with
multicolor stitching. The new 4008/5008 SUV from Dongfeng Peugeot also
features upgraded interiors. Light gray Alcantara materials in the door
panels and center console perfectly match the sporty, textured aesthetic of
Dongfeng Peugeot’s “new French” SUV lineup.

Also on display at Auto Shanghai 2021 were other models from brands that
have collaborated with Alcantara to create their luxury interiors. Through
the use of innovative technology, Alcantara delivers modern luxury that
