SAE International announces further efforts in Israel through a partnership with Spotam, a consultancy and research firm in the areas of telematics, location-based services and the Internet of Things. The partnership will provide Israeli automotive and technology industry engineers and business professionals with access to SAE’s mobility knowledge and resources.
Â
Through a new series of quarterly Meet-Up events in Israel, SAE and Spotam will convene local industry experts to discuss cybersecurity and autonomous technology topics and trends impacting the region. The events promote the accelerated advancement and development of next generation vehicles and their supporting technologies and infrastructure through collaboration and conversations among attendees.
Â
“We are excited to expand our popular Meet-Up series to Israel so industry experts can explore the challenges and advancements of connected and autonomous vehicles. Our partnership with Spotam helps SAE connect with the individuals and organizations that are making an impact on the region,” said Michael Ulf, program manager at SAE International. “As Israel continues its rapid evolution into a global mobility hub thanks to its robust technology and cybersecurity start-up sectors around Tel Aviv, SAE is offering an opportunity to learn from and network with the industry’s most forward-thinking mobility engineers in the region.”
Â
In 2020, SAE and Spotam will hold four Meet-Up events, with the first scheduled to occur on February 19, 2020. To further support these efforts, SAE will also convene industry experts for the Israel Connected and Autonomous Vehicle Conference (ICAV) in 2020/2021, with a full range of automotive segments, speaker sessions, exhibits and a plenary.
Â
SAE Meet-Up events take place in cities across the world, providing industry professionals the opportunity to gather and discuss the most pressing topics facing the transformation of the mobility industry today.
