Dentsu Aegis Network was named a GM Supplier of the Year by General Motors during its 25th annual Supplier of the Year awards ceremony held Friday, March 31 in Orlando, Florida.
Out of thousands of suppliers, GM recognized 118 of its best suppliers from 15 countries that have consistently exceeded GM’s expectations, created outstanding value or brought new innovations to the company. The announcement represented the most suppliers GM has recognized since debuting the Supplier of the Year event in 1992.
“We are focused on building positive supplier relationships, bringing new, customer-centric innovations to GM and being the OEM of choice among suppliers,” said Steve Kiefer, GM vice president, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain. “The companies we recognize tonight not only have brought innovation, they delivered it with the quality our customers deserve.”
Winning suppliers were chosen by a global team of GM purchasing, engineering, quality, manufacturing and logistics executives and selected based on performance criteria in Product Purchasing, Indirect Purchasing, Customer Care and Aftersales, and Logistics.
“It’s genuinely inspiring to be named a Supplier of the Year by GM after 5 years of partnership. General Motors is a truly global client relationship, working closely together in more than 70 markets. It is also a best-in-class example of how an open, collaborative, dynamic client partnership can drive innovation, transformation and business performance. The power of the GM community across Dentsu Aegis Network speaks to the depth and breadth of our talent, scale and capability,” said Nigel Morris, CEO, Dentsu Aegis Network Americas.
“We are incredibly proud of, and grateful for, this distinguished recognition by our partners at GM. Our mission is to help our clients grow by innovating the way they build their brands, and this is certainly the case with GM. Being named a Supplier of the Year is powerful recognition of the strong, collaborative partnership we have built together and the game-changing work the great teams on both sides have delivered across media, creative storytelling, and digital,” said Alex Crowther, Global Client President, Dentsu Aegis Network.
