Ai INNOVATION, SINCE 1895

MAHLE Powertrain’s exhibit at this year’s Automotive Testing Expo North America will include new manufacturing test equipment and a diagnostic tester for use by auto dealers.

Also on display from MAHLE’s Engineering Services Division will be a single-cylinder research engine, the company’s Turbulent Jet Ignition (TJI) combustion system and the MAHLE Flexible ECU (MFE).

MAHLE Powertrain (MPT) is a leader in the development of advanced engine technology, including research engines and advanced combustion systems. The MAHLE Flexible ECU is a robust, open architecture controller that has the capability to control any powertrain application using highly optimized MPT functional software.

Luke Cruff, MPT’s engineering manager for Design and Development, will give a presentation on applied and advanced powertrain engineering research tools at 1:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at the expo which takes place (Oct. 28-30) at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan.

MAHLE’s Test Systems Division also will introduce a new vehicle manufacturing tester- DL3, as well as its ServiceLogiq® Dealership diagnostic tester. The DL3 (DataLogiq®3) provides a compact, cost-effective solution to meet a need for increased electronics testing and module flashing.

ServiceLogiq® is a service-bay software solution developed by MAHLE Test Systems for vehicle diagnostic testing. It provides an efficient way to manage large volumes of vehicle data in a small software application and can be used with the MAHLE’s ComWorks(TM) Vehicle Communication Interface (VCI) or any other SAE J2534 communications device.

Scott Bolt, chief engineer — MAHLE Test Systems, will discuss the capabilities and advantages of the division’s DL3 vehicle electronic manufacturing tester on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at 4:10 p.m. at the expo.

“We are excited to present these innovative technologies at the North American Testing Expo,” said Hugh Blaxill, MAHLE Powertrain’s general manager and head of Engineering Services North America. “Like our parent company, MAHLE Powertrain is striving to support our customers in meeting ever increasing vehicle electronic, emissions and efficiency goals.”
