Presented at a recent General Motors dinner in Detroit, the award recognizes top-performing suppliers who meet or exceed a stringent set of criteria focusing on quality performance and have achieved the cross-functional support of GM’s entire organization.

The timely delivery of high-quality products, smooth production processes and closely managed, in-plant quality-control systems were among the various criteria considered by GM in selecting award recipients.

HELLA’s 174,000-square-foot plant in Flora has 304 employees and produces a variety of high-tech, high-volume automotive components and systems, including memory-seat modules, accelerator-pedal sensors, rain-and-light sensors, contactless position sensors, sunroof control modules and vacuum pumps, as well as relays and flashers.
