TRW Automotive Holdings Corp. (NYSE: TRW) was recently awarded the 2013 General Motors (GM) Supplier Quality Excellence Award at 10 of its manufacturing facilities for achieving consistently high levels of quality performance during the past year.

The 10 TRW sites honored with the award include:

— Ansan TSCL, South Korea – steering systems
— Langfang LVLB, China – brake systems
— Anting, China – brake systems, slip control systems
— Beckedorf, Germany – engine valves
— Bricherasio, Italy – air bags, steering wheels
— Marion, Va., United States – steering systems
— Incheon, South Korea – fasteners
— Orleans, France – engine valves
— Czestochowa, Poland – air bags, seat belts
— Koblenz, Germany – brake systems, slip control systems

GM’s Supplier Quality Excellence Award is focused on improving collaboration with suppliers. Winning suppliers, including all 10 of the TRW facilities, met more than 12 quality criteria during a 12-month period that ended on June 30. This is the second year GM is honoring suppliers who are making noteworthy contributions to GM’s goal of providing the best overall customer experience in the automotive industry.
