Autotalks introduces its 4th generation V2X module in the 7th CAR-2-CAR Forum (19 to 20 November 2013, MAN Truck Forum, Munich, Germany). PANGAEA4 V2X Communication Module is based on CRATON (ATK4100) V2X Communication Processor and PLUTON (ATK3100) V2X RF Transceiver, the only available chipset for series-production.
PANGAEA4 serves as a development platform and an ECU reference design. It represents a comprehensive OBU (On-Board-Unit) and RSU (Road-Side-Unit) solution: RF, modem, security, positioning and software stack.
PANGAEA4 was designed to support early deployment of vehicles OBU and infrastructure RSU across Europe, US, Korea and rest of world. It provides a cost-effective and unified solution on a single board with low-key form factor and customize-ready enclosure.
ITS ETSI G5 V2X software stack with CAR-2-CAR Day 1 applications and IEEE1609 V2X software stack can be pre-integrated, providing worldwide standard compliant solution. Autotalks asymmetric multi-core technology, leveraging CRATON’s integrated three CPU cores, allows a simple and quick application development.
PANGAEA4 supports dual channel operation, with optional diversity, line-rate verification, HSM secure storage for private keys. It includes high-accuracy GPS and GLONASS receiver and all necessary interfaces for vehicle integration (CAN, Ethernet, power, etc.).
PANGAEA4 is pre-installed with software for field test and lab test evaluation, supported by a complete toolset (tablet and PC based) for real-time monitoring and post processing.
“PANGAEA4 V2X Communication Module availability is another step towards V2X technology adoption by OEMs and Tier 1s, allowing them to quickly develop customized solutions,” said Onn Haran, CTO of Autotalks. “The integrative system approach provides a cost-efficient and flexible offering that suits both series-production development and early deployment installation”.
