Ford Motor Company Honors Flextronics With Two Excellence Awards

Flextronics (NASDAQ: FLEX) announced that it received two of Ford Motor Company’s 2012 World Excellence Awards (WEA). Paul Humphries, group president of the High Reliability Solutions business group at Flextronics, accepted the awards on behalf of the Company at the World Excellence Awards ceremony that was recently held in Dearborn, Michigan. Flextronics received Ford’s Corporate Responsibility Achievement Award and the Silver Award, presented to the top 10 percent of qualifying automotive suppliers who excelled in quality, cost performance and delivery.

“Our partnership with our suppliers played a pivotal role in the progress we made on the One Ford plan in 2012,” said Tony Brown, group vice president of global purchasing at Ford. “Our World Excellence Awards winners have shown a dedication to excellence. Thank you for helping Ford serve customers with the best vehicles in the world,” he added.

“Receiving two excellence awards from Ford is a testament to Flextronics’ commitment to providing highly reliable and environmentally sound solutions to the automotive industry,” said Humphries. “I am very proud of our employees and their relentless drive to continuously add value for our customers.”

The Corporate Responsibility Achievement Award acknowledged Flextronics’ ongoing demonstration of overall sustainability leadership in incorporating environmental and social considerations into everyday business. It includes Flextronics’ contribution to reducing the impact of Ford products to the environment.

The Silver Award recognized Flextronics automotive wiring operation in Juarez, Mexico, where, among other innovative products, the Company manufactures and ships battery cables and wiring harnesses for Ford.
