Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, Inc. (NASDAQ: QTWW), a global leader in natural gas storage systems, integration and vehicle system technologies, today announced that it will launch and demonstrate its new line of production ready, bolt-on compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel systems for medium duty trucks at the National Truck and Equipment Association ‘Work Truck Show’ held in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 6-8, 2013.
“Quantum’s new medium-duty CNG fuel systems are designed to provide a bolt-on solution to quickly outfit a truck to operate on CNG,” said Brian Olson, President and CEO of Quantum. “Quantum’s systems are specifically designed for ease of installation, safety, durability and to provide maximum value and operational ease for our customers.”
Quantum’s integrated fuel systems for medium duty trucks, incorporating its ultra-light Q-Lite(TM) CNG storage systems, are available in a variety of configurations, ranging from 24 to 64 gasoline gallon equivalent capacities. The systems have integral fuel receptacle, pressure gauge, safety systems including shut-off valves, pressure relief device(s) and pressure sensors and fuel metering subsystems including pressure regulator and thermal management. Available fuel system configurations include single, dual and triple module systems to accommodate a variety of popular medium duty truck platforms.
