(EI) announced today that their Endicott, NY facility has achieved ISO 13485:2003 certification. 13485:2003 is a quality management standard for medical device manufacturing developed by the International Organization for Standardization. This certification marks a major milestone, validating EI’s high quality standards and its commitment to expanding into the medical device industry. Receipt of this certification signifies that EI’s assembly and test of PC boards and semiconductor packages, full integration and test services meet the requirements for suppliers to medical device manufacturers.

EI chose Bureau Veritas Certification (BVC) to assist them in this rigorous certification process. BVC is an independent certification body recognized by more than 35 national and international accreditation bodies.
