Vision Industries is pleased to announce today that it has hired a new management team to effect the commercial rollout of the “Vision Hydrogen Drive System,” based on its hydrogen drive technology. Effective immediately, the new trading symbol for Vision Industries is “VIIC.”
Martin Schuermann, President and CEO of Vision, stated: “We are elated to announce this significant milestone. We are now a fully reporting, SEC compliant company. We believe the capital markets will strongly embrace our business plan to sell zero emission hydrogen powered vehicles. Vision Hydrogen Drive System combines the superior performance of an electric vehicle with the extended range provided by a hydrogen fuel cell. Vision produces its vehicles in partnership with major manufacturers or sub contractors. This business approach avoids massive outlays of startup capital. Also, many state and federal alternative energy programs in the form of grants, tax credits and loans exist or are under development.”
Lawrence Weisdorn, Vision’s COO, stated: “We are looking forward to launching our heavy duty zero emission truck program. Various Government subsidy programs totaling $2 Billion have been established to replace 16,800 short haul diesel trucks over the next 4 years in the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. Initial testing has shown that our heavy duty class 8 trucks are substantially less expensive to operate than current diesel and natural gas powered trucks. Our Vision Hydrogen Drive has approximately 400 HP and 3,200 ft/lb of torque available; almost double the pulling power of a conventional diesel truck.”
