The tenth edition of PAACE Automechanika Mexico, Latin America’s most important international trade show for the automotive aftermarket, took place July 9-11 at the Centro Banamex in Mexico City, Mexico. The show was truly international, attracting 531 exhibitors from 15 countries, including official pavilions from Argentina, Brazil, China, Germany, South Korea and Taiwan. With record attendance exceeding expectations, the show linked 18,317 suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, shop owners, technicians, media and press from 30 countries around the world.
PAACE Automechanika Mexico was the meeting place for key industry professionals last month. The organizing associations INA, APRA, MEMA, SEMA and Messe Frankfurt, were satisfied not only with the numbers of exhibitors and visitors, but also with quality of the show and international participation. “Our exhibitors commented on their high satisfaction with the quality and quantity of buyers during this year’s show as well as the business opportunities presented during the three days.” said Messe Frankfurt, Inc. president, David Audrain. “This level of value results from bringing together industry professionals, products and services from across the globe.”
PAACE Automechanika Mexico reinforced its position as the most important international trade show in Latin America for the automotive industry. Drawing attendees from 30 different countries and exhibitors from 15 countries around the world, PAACE Automechanika Mexico presented a global arena for business in Mexico City. PAACE Automechanika Mexico provides international manufacturers with a means to reach the market in Mexico and truly succeed. Steven Dreyfus, president of Dreyfus Global Trade, LLC commented, “Without our participation in PAACE Automechanika Mexico, we would feel like we were not a part of the market.” Among the new countries represented on the show floor this year were Belgium, Spain and the Ukraine.
Delivering on its commitment to the industry, PAACE Automechanika Mexico provided participants with excellent training and education opportunities through its Seminar Program. The program featured more than 15 seminars ranging from specific topics such as Introduction to Nitrous Oxide Systems to general topics such as Customer Service / Knowing the Lifetime Value of Your Customer. The seminars and training attracted hundreds of mechanics looking to enhance their skills and learn about the latest technology impacting today’s market.
In addition to the educational component of the show, the Salon de SEMA drew attendees specifically interested in the specialty performance market. The area featured accessories and tuning exhibitors as well as more than 60 modified vehicles. Sponsored by SEMA, this feature area was a professional presentation supporting the personalization of vehicles, an activity that is increasing every year in Mexico.
PAACE Automechanika Mexico is produced by Messe Frankfurt, Inc. with the support of key industry associations: APRA, INA, MEMA, and SEMA. The organizers are already working on the next edition of PAACE Automechanika Mexico, July 15-17, 2009, which promises more innovation, more products and more opportunities for exhibitors and attendees in the automotive aftermarket sector.
