ZAP Receives Orders for 50,000 Recharge-It-All Batteries

Rechargeable Lithium Battery Line Powers a Variety of Mobile Electronics

Alternative energy and transportation pioneer ZAP (OTCBB: ZAAP) has received orders for over 50,000 units of its Recharge-It-All line of rechargeable lithium battery storage devices.

ZAP’s Recharge-It-All line is a unique rechargeable battery system that can provide a portable power source for almost any kind of mobile electronic device, from cell phones, to digital cameras, to laptops. More than just a battery, Recharge-It-All can automatically sense and deliver the appropriate voltage for a range of power settings.

“After two years of laying the groundwork, this milestone of 50,000 orders in hand validates the Recharge-It-All line for ZAP in the consumer marketplace,” said ZAP CEO Steve Schneider. “I want to make sure the shareholders are informed — this is such a unique, new product in mobile electronics that, up until now, we have had a lot of interest in evaluating the product and have only received sample orders for testing purposes. Now, I think we can look forward to larger orders and expect to announce some of our first chain stores soon.”

ZAP launched the Recharge-It-All line in January at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the world’s largest mobile electronics and technology trade fair. A pioneer in electric vehicles, ZAP began marketing Recharge-It-All as an offshoot of its battery research to extend the range of electric cars and other vehicles. Earlier this year, ZAP signed an agreement with Eco-Tech for an advanced battery management system, which it expects to have available for its Zapino and XEBRA vehicles in the near future.

ZAP’s Recharge-It-All comes in several sizes depending on your needs, from the RX4-C Universal Battery Charger for $29.99 to power and recharge smaller electronics devices like cell phones and digital cameras, to the M-48 for $139.99 that can power a laptop and a smaller device at the same time.
