National Quality Assurance, USA, a leading provider of management systems registration services has received approval from the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB) to issue accredited AS9110 certifications. This achievement makes NQA one of the only registrars able to offer ANAB accreditation to the full Aerospace family of standards, AS9100, AS9120, AS9110 and AS9003.
AS9110, formally titled “AS9110 Quality Maintenance Systems – Aerospace – Requirements for Maintenance Organizations†was published by the Society for Automotive Engineers in January 2003. Based on AS9100, the AS9110 standard adds specific requirements that are critical for the maintenance of commercial, private, and military aircrafts. The standard defines the quality system requirements based on AS9100:2000 with additional criteria for maintenance repair and overhaul facilities (MRO’s) serving the aircraft industry, including the thousands of FAA 145 certified repair stations.
“AS9110 certification allows us to provide the MRO community, a vital subcontractor segment of the Aerospace industry, with registration to a standard tailored specifically to their business.†said Robert Parsons, NQA’s Aerospace Business Unit Director. “This approval further demonstrates NQA’s leadership in the Aerospace industry and dedication to support all levels of the Aerospace supply chain.â€
