ArvinMeritor, Inc.’s Light Vehicle Systems (LVS) business group announced that its Emissions Technologies team based in Almussafes, Spain, received a Ford Motor Co. Gold Award for exemplary performance in 2005. As part of Ford’s prestigious World Excellence award supplier series, the Gold Award recognizes outstanding performance in the areas of cost, quality and delivery.
During a ceremony held in Dearborn, Mich., U.S., Richard Parry-Jones, Ford group vice president of Global Product Development and chief technology officer, indicated that World Excellence award recipients are part of an elite group within the global automotive community.
As a Customer Value Center (CVC), ArvinMeritor’s Almussafes facility — which employs a core team of 14 people — is line-sequenced to the production level of Ford’s vehicle operations in Valencia, Spain.
